TUFA 0-0 GUAN UNITED-HONOURS SHARED AT KASALGU
28th of June, 2015
Tamale Utrecht played out a 0-0 draw with Guan united at the Academy Park in Kasalgu on Sunday as the two sides continue their push for a top 4 finish in the ongoing GN Bank Division One League.
TUFA went into the game looking for a win after losing 2-0 in midweek to Esperance of Atebubu, but were frustrated by a well organized Guan side who beat TUFA 1-0 in the corresponding fixture.
TUFA started on a poor note in the first half as Razak Patricks and top scorer, Micheal Japaa failed to penetrate the defense of Guan United.
That trend changed in the second half when Mohammed Lukman was introduced to stabilize the midfield. The substitution paid off but the team could not find any answers to why they failed to win the match.
The results still leaves TUFA in 9th position with 26 points after 20 matches. The team will travel to Bolga as the bid to win their first game outside the city of Tamale, when they play as guest to bottom side Bolga Man City, the side they beat 6-0 in the reverse fixture.
