RTU,TUFC TO USE SPORTS STADIUM FOR MATCHES
8th November, 2011
The pride of the North Real Tamale United will continue to use the Tamale main stadium as home ground for the upcoming division one league after using the field for all premier league games before their exit in the elite division last season. This was revealed at a meeting with the three division one clubs in the region and the National Sports council today at the sports stadium.
2011 Northern regional division two champions Tamale Utrecht Football club has also opted for the main stadium as venue for its home matches in the division one league.
However, Guan United playing in their sixth year of the division one will stay at the stadium training pitch annex for the home matches.
The clubs were represented by TUFC CEO Abu Imoro and Technical Director Jawhari Baba Duah whilst Alhassan Yakin and Mohammed Iddi represented RTU. Kojo White was the sole representative for Guan United.
Mr. Abase, the Regional Sports Development Officer hinted that the two fields would be subjected to intense pressure due to the large number of clubs participating in the division one league but maintained that his office will make alternative arrangements for the Tamasco and Nobisco fields for the clubs to use for their training prior to matches.
