COACHES ON GFA/CAF COURSE VISIT TUFA PROJECT SITE

A delegation of football coaches undergoing a GFA/CAF introductory coaching course in Tamale on Wednesday visited the project site of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy in Kasalgu, a surburb of Tamale. The group was welcomed to the site by the CEO of the academy Abdulai Alhassan. The delegation included the technical director of the Ghana Football Association, Coach Oti Akenteng, the sports director of the GFA coach A. K. Edusei, coach Mashud Dramani of Right to Dream academy ,coach Abubakari Nasamu of Medeama FC and the team of coaches under-taking the coaching course. The coaches took some time-off their course work to visit the academy site with their instructors to witness on-going works at the first football academy in the Northern Region. The coaches expressed delight in the facilities under construction. A.K. Edusei told tufaghanafc.com "this will be one of the best academies in Africa when completed". The Technical director of the academy and the project architect, Jawhari Baba Duah and also a participant of the coaching programme explained that when completed the academy will have two (2) football pitches with seating stand, dressing rooms, medical centre, manager/ coach resident, 18 rooms to accommodate 40 footballers, swimming pool, a gymnasium, a three unit class room block, a library, a computer lab among others. The project which started in January this year is scheduled to be completed in May 2012 and inaugurated.
