2 TUFA PLAYERS INVITED FOR NATIONAL U-23 TEAM
15th of May, 2015
The head coach of the National U-23 team, the Black Meteors, Malik Jabril has handed call-ups to two players from Tamale Utrecht Football Academy, after monitoring them during their stay in Tamale. Razak Patrick and Amos Achampong were invited to camp after stellar performances for TUFA in the ongoing GN Bank DOL.
Malik Jabril described 21-year-old Razak, who has scored 3 goals in 2 games since his return from Namibia, as combining "everything you're looking for in a wing striker". "Is he worth a place in the squad now? Of course he is," said Malik, in an interview with tufaghanafc.com.
Amos Achampong, who has also been in fantastic form the Tamale based Division One side, would look forward to cementing a place in the set-up after impressing the coach.
The National U-23 side will face Congo in the third round qualifying for the 2015 ALL Africa Games in Senegal, after beating Liberia 7-1 on aggregate last month.
