20th April, 2014
Over 400 young players turn-up on Saturday at the Tamale sports stadium as they justify for places into the Tamale Utrecht Football Academy.
The Academy is scouting for new generation of talents as they seek to continue their objective of building a better future for young football talents within the three northern regions.
This is the second time TUFA is carrying out this exercise as they search foe quality into the Academy. The first badge of talents who were recruited into the Academy have been graduated to the U-15 and U-16 and as such new generations are expected to field the void.
The exercise started with the newly created Sagnarigu District as 22 colt teams participated in the program. Coaches from the Academy were accompanied by the CEO of TUFA, Abdulai Alhassan in the hunt for good talents.
Speaking to tufaghanafc.com ahead of the exercise, Abdulai Alhassan reiterated the need to give young talents the opportunity to express and showcase their skills and believe TUFA is the right place to exploit these talents.
The search for new generation of talents by TUFA will continue next week where Tamale Metro will take their turn to show the technical team what they have.
