ADAM A. BASIT HIT BRACE TO RECORD WIN FOR TUFC IN A FRIENDLY

Tamale Utrecht Football Club beat Northern Regional Inter -Schools Team 2-0 in a friendly engagement at the Tamale Senior High School Football Park on Tuesday.

The match, which was watched by football enthusiasts in the Tamale Metropolis, failed to record a goal in the first half after several strikes at goal by either side.

Diminutive striker Adam A Basit who replaced struggling Joshua Teye Dotsein the second half hit a brace in the 65^th and 69^th minutes to ensure victory for TUFC.

The Northern Regional Inter -Schools Team failed to grab a consolation on the stroke of full time when TUFC Yussif Abdul Basit failed to score for the Regional team against his own club after having been presented a good opportunity in the goal area of TUFC.

Three matches have been arranged by both clubs to prepare towards the inter regional school games and the division two league competition.

The second match between the two sides is scheduled for today at the Tamasco field whilst the last match is scheduled for Friday.

Three players of TUFC including Yussif Abdul Basit, Zakariah Fusieni and Alidu Mohammed Awal were invited by the Regional schools team to participate in the competition.
