COACH MUMUNI GAMEL DEMAND REACTION FROM PLAYERS AFTER DEFEAT TO GALAXY FC.

5th February,2014.

The pressure is mounting on Utrecht Division One side to beat Bazooka in their next match of the ongoing Division One League after they lost painfully to Galaxy FC for whom they had beaten 2-0 in the reverse fixture.

Coach Mumuni Gamel’s side face Bazooka at the Academy complex next weekend, having lost to the Wa based side 2-0 in the first leg and now facing the prospect of losing out on their quest to qualify to the middle league.

Speaking to tufaghanafc.com, Gamel lamented the indiscipline of some players of late and believes it has affected his training plans.

“you can see that we didn’t perform well in the two friendly matches we played a few days ago. We lacked the bite in all aspects of the team due to indiscipline of the players. They need to understand that they are playing for themselves and me, they have to be responsible and discipline before they can make it to the top”

Coach Gamel lamented after his side won one and drew the other in two games against second division sides, Liberty Babies and Victory Stars respectively.” we were not good enough to win the Galaxy game” Gamel said, it is painful and very disappointing to lose that. What is important now is to focus on the next game.

Utrecht are fourth in Zone 1A of the Division One league, five points behind leaders RTU but level on points with Guan United and their only hope of ending their disappointing away form in the competition is to win convincingly against Bazooka.

“it is a good opportunity to show that we have character and are men who can fight foe each other. That is all you can do. You take distance in terms of what people say and show how strong and good you are in the next game”

Gamel conceded that he now has to lift a side who are setting unwanted records” that is our job; if we feel sorry foe ourselves we would be completely wrong. We have a massive  game on Sunday and we have to respond.
