28th January,2014.

The top scorer for Tamale Utrecht Football Academy Division One side, Salifu Nuhu says he is looking forward to scoring more goals to help qualify TUFA to the promotional playoffs.

Nuhu has bagged in six goals in seven matches and ahead of the commencement of the second round of the Division one league this weekend, is targeting more goals to see the team into the middle league.

The on-loan Wa All Stars striker, who caught the attention of most clubs in Ghana, came into the scene after helping Nania FC conquer the MTN FA Cup at the expense of top flight side Kumasi Asante Kotoko in 2011. Nuhu notched in six goals en-route to the Cup finals and was scouted by Ghana premier league siode Wa All Stars.

He has since failed to break into the first team of All Stars but after a stellar performance which has seen him score six goals in seven games for TUFA, he believes the time has come for him to elevate himself to the top, first by helping the team  qualify to the middle league.

Speaking to tufaghanafc.com, the 18 year old stated his desire to have  a good season with TUFA.” I,m happy to be working with coach Gamel for the second time after stint at Wa All Stars. He has given me the opportunity to prove my wealth and I will not disappoint him. I worked with him in Wa and he realized I was good but the opportunity was not fourth coming. U could see It was not easy during the first round but me and my colleagues are ready to qualify the team up there.

Salifu Nuhu is currently the second top scorer in Zone 1A with six goals, four more behind William Kelly of RTU who has 10 goals.
