TUFA DIVISION ONE COACH MUMUNI GAMEL DEMANDING MORE FOCUS FROM HIS PLAYERS AS LEAGUE RESUMES NEXT WEEK

The head coach of the division one side of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy, Mumuni Gamel has demanded his players start defending better on a consistent basis ahead of the resumption of the Division One league second round.

The Kasalgu based side currently sits four points adrift of leaders RTU in third place in Zone 1A of Ghana’s second tie competition, but Gamel is hopeful his side will return from the break revitalized having warmed up for next weekend’s clash with Galaxy FC with a 5-0 thrashing of Tamale All Stars and a 2-0 win over Oruma Stars.

“Defensively one could see two teams that really put a a lot of effort offensively, because we have brought in some new faces, we were obviously better in the All Stars game and we improved against Oruma Stars who had quality players in their set-up” Gamel tolg tufaghanafc.com.

Though Gamel is pleased with his training ahead of return of the league, he is counting on his players to activate their energy to push for what they have been earning for.

On the issue of team selection ahead of next week’s game,Gamel indicated that he is looking forward to injury free season after the friendlies.

“we still have one week and then we will see who will play on Satuurday. Who ever impresses during these period will make my selection easy”
