TUFC FAILED TO GRAB WIN IN A FRIENDLY

Tamale Utrecht football club failed to win in a friendly match against a less fancied Jobaah FC at the Kaladan Park on Sunday. Both teams scored two goals apiece in a match that was witnessed by a handful of supporters. The match offered TUFC an opportunity to observe some new players on trials with the team including an Accra lad Joshua Teye Dotse.

Jobah FC scored early in the first half with a close range shot into the TUFC net in the 5thminute of the game.TUFC had better possession of the game and created more scoring opportunities than their opponents mainly juvenile players but failed to respond to the challenge by the Jobaah lads till the first half was brought to an end.

Adam A. basit who was introduced into the game for Joshua Teye canceled the lead for TUFC in the 60thminute after initiating an attack from the left and shot into the roof of the net. TUFC increased the tally in the 65thminute of the game through Alidu Yakubu.

In the 70thminute, Jobah FC scored from a penalty after an attacker was brought down in the goal area by TUFC. Proceedings were brought to an end after both teams failed to score in several attempts.
