The head coach of the U-15 side of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy, Alhassan Rashid is calling on management to design a program that will see the young players exposed to the other side of the country in order to aid their development in the game. Rashid was speaking to tufaghanafc.com when he was quizzed by the P.R.O of the club after a difficult year .

The U-17 side of TUFA lost all two games played in a mini tournament organized to welcome their parent club FC Utrecht from Holland last month and coach Rashid attributed their performance to lack of exposure and confidence. Though optimistic of the boy’s progress, he was concerned by the inability of the boys to get exposed to different environment.

“I think my boys played very well in those two matches especially against the regional select side, their opponents were more bigger than them, but they proved they can do well if supported, and against their parent club I think my boys respected them and that is why they lost that game; all these to me was due to lack of exposure and confidence.”Rashid told tufaghanafc.com.

Coach Rashid is now calling on management to at least organize a trip outside the region in order to improve their level of understanding the game. “if we can go to our sister Academies in the country to play some matches that will be good for my boys so that they will get use to different environment”

The U-15 side is looking to test their strength against their seniors[ TUFA’S division one side] in a friendly next week.
