TUFA, FC UTRECHT AND DUTCH FOOTBALL FEDERATION COMMISSION WATER PROJECT TO ACCESS DIVINE SHS
17th December, 2013
FC Utrecht wrapped up their four day visit to the Tamale Utrecht Football Academy with the commissioning of a water project to Access Divine SHS. The project which was initiated by TUFA with support from FC Utrecht and the Dutch Football Federation was outdoor yesterday at Nangbawu, a deprive community in the Tamale Metropolis.
Students of the school have been fetching water from the Academy complex since it’s inception and TUFA thought it was right for them to have their own water and reduce the burden of walking for long distance.
The headmistress of the school expressed her gratitude to TUFA and it’s partners for the concern they have for people in deprived areas. She thanked the FC Utrecht delegation and the Dutch FF for their support in putting up this project and pledge to ensure the project benefit the students and the people in the community.
Speaking to tufaghanafc.com, the CEO of TUFA Abdulai Alhassan said he was touched by the wahala[ suffering ]the students were going through and thought it was better if they had their own water. He outlined some other projects his outfit and partners were putting up to help the deprived in the communities and hoped they will collaborate with them.
He also thanked the FC Utrecht delegation and the representative from the Dutch FF for their support and prayed their partnership will continue to benefit the under- privilege in the communities.
