TUFA Salla Soccer Community Gala ends in Tamale.

Sakasaka defeated Moshie Zongo 5-4 on penalties on sunday after regulation time to clinch the trophy of the maiden edition of TUFA Sallah Community Soccer Gala to climax the holy month of ramadan.

The last match at the Sakasaka park drew hundreds of people from all walks of live to witness the unprecedented event organized by TUFA to strengthen peace and unity building among the people of Northern Region.

 

They beat Dohinaayili 2-0 in the opening match to make it to the quarter finals stage before struggling to beat Kukuo on penalties through to the finals.


Earlier on, one of the favorites of the tournament Sabonjida played one of the tough games against Kukuo when they (sabonjida) were crushed by 2-0 before a large crowd while Zogbeli battled Moshie Zongo in an intense game before surrendering to a 0-1 loss.


The exciting Lamashegu team also slump after losing 1-2 to Nyohini.
The tournament aimed at giving young talented opportunity produced quality players like Abebe who won the the Best player of the tournament accolade, Lawal and Yasir Hafiz all from the Sakasaka team.
