26th of June, 2013.
The National U17 (BLACK MAIDENS) star player of the Azerbaijan world cup squad Sherifatu Sumaila missed the 2013 SWAG Most Valuable Player award at the state Banquite Hall when she was nominated alongside her Captain Priscilla Ochere and Jane Ayieyam of Upper East.
The most enviable award was won by the captain of the team Priscilla and is again in contention for the sports personality of the year with Kojo Asamoah of the Black stars and Juventus.
In a telephone conversation with tufaghanafc.com Sherifatu indicated her happiness about the nomination even though she lost but the nomination reveals to her that her contribution to the National Team was appreciated by SWAG and Ghanaians, and she congratulated her Captain for that award.
