IDDI YAKINI DONATES TO TUFA

One of Tamale Utrecht Football  Academy’s (TUFA)  ambassador   Iddi  Abdul-Yakini  has donated mosquito nets and repellents worth millions of Ghana old cedis to the U-14 Team of the TUFA in Tamale Yesterday at the TUFA Sports Complex.

Yakini who is in his twenties started his footballing carrier in Tamale with U.N Rangers colts club manned at that time by Mr. Abu Forgoh who is now a politician. Yakini was transferred to Real Republicans colts club and was scouted by Feyernoord Academy to Gomoa Fette in the eastern part of Ghana and later moved to Belgian side KV Mechelen in the 2006/2007 season where he appended his signature for an undisclosed deal.

The donation is in response to the call by the players who’s health are constantly disturbed by minor Malaria through the infections of mosquito bites.

Yakini as one of the ambassadors of TUFA  has been instrumental  in the establishment and Development of TUFA and for that matter  Northern Football.

The Iddi brothers of Yakini and Abdul Ganiyu are in Tamale for a short holiday where they featured in a peace Match of Tamale Professionals and TUFA senior side where TUFA lost 2-1 last Saturday at kaladan park.

The Game featured the two Iddi brothers , Shilla Ilyasu, Jafaru and Kalusha of TUFA from Namibia, Alhassan Abdulai of TUFA(CEO) and other notable Tamale base players. Ghana international Majeed Warris was  also in attendance of this match but did not take part due to an injury he is nursing.
