RECORD SCORE IN TUFC 8-0 WIN

New entrants in the Northern region division two competition, Tamale Utrecht Football Club today mauled their host Sankpala United 8-0 to set a scoring record in the on-going division two competition. The visitors thus jumped to the top of the zone 1 league standings.

Four goals from Jafaru A. Somed, Alhassan Kalusha, Mohammed Alhassan and an own goal by the host completed the scoring for TUFC in the first half. In the second half Adam Ibrahim attracted a yellow card for a foul play and is thus ruled out in TUFC next game. He however made amends for his side when he scored one of the four goals in the second half. Sankpala united reeled under intense pressure from the TUFC attack and gave away a second own goal. The other two goals were scored by Adam A. Basit and Alhassan Kalusha to complete the goal bash.

In other results in zone I, Liberty Babies beat visiting Sky FC 5-1 whilst Galaxy FC lost away to Allstars by a lone goal.Gangdu FC rested for this week pairings.

Three clubs shall qualify from this zone for the next round of matches to determine the champions for the Northern Region division two competition. A total of 8 zones are involved in this competition.
