HAMISU ISSAH POWERS TAMALE UTRECHT TO VICTORY

24 February, 2013

Utility player Hamisu Issah scored his debut goal for Tamale Utrecht in the Division One League as the Kasalans bounced back from a goal down to win 2-1 against Toende United at the Kasalgu academy complex on Sunday.

It was the visitors that took an early lead in the 10thminute just after Adam A. Basit strike in goal for TUFA was ruled offside.

Iddrisu Osman equalised when he nodded home in the 30thminute from inside the penalty area before Hamisu Issah pulled a goal in the 55thminute to seal victory for Tamale Utrecht.

Hamza Basit got a sight of goal in the 4thminute when he received the ball in the penalty area but his late attempt to shoot into goal denied TUFA an early lead.

Striker Adam A. Basit also found himself on the right, inside the penalty area and his shot beat the goal keeper but kissed the goal post to touch for a goal kick as Iddrisu Osman also failed to add his name again to the score sheet after several misses in the second half.

The home side was noticeably slicker before the break and from the outset had their visitors pinned back. They again continued possession in the second half but were woeful at goal.
