GUAN UNITED STUNNED TAMALE UTRECHT AT KASALGU
3 February, 2013
Two first half goals gave Guan United a win over Tamale Utrecht in a local derby played at the Kasalgu complex on Sunday in the Division One League week 4 fixture.
Sloppy defending and basic goalkeeping errors made TUFA suffer defeat in the hands of their city rivals as they conceded in the 16thand 32ndminute.
The Kasalans surprisingly made changes to their set up that earned a point across the Makango river in Yeji against Juventus on Wednesday, starting and later substituting disappointing central defender Ali Umar whilst pushing influential defender Taurik Musah into midfield.
Coach Osman Rashid team was not also creative at goal and made little impact upfront led in attack by Iddrisu Osman and Captain Vincent Deyi.
Tamale Utrecht is now pinned bottom of the 7 club league table after managing just a draw in the 4 week old competition.
