TUFA CHARGES AFTER MASSIVE SUPPORTERS GATHERING

14 January, 2013

Supporters of Tamale Utrecht, drawn mainly from Kasalgu, Nyrerizee, Nangbagu and Nyankpala today amassed at the academy to a mammoth meeting intended to strategise and offer their unflinching support for the successful execution of the Polytank division one league and the MTN FA Cup competition.

The meeting reached its crescendo when Alhaji Alhassan Rashid COP stormed the meeting grounds with his team that included Mr. Yussif Okocha, a strong supporter of Real Tamale United.

The chairman of the supporters group, Mr. Hafiz Progress who made a presentation on the structures in place at the academy and the role of the supporter in a club, was elated with the turn out as that was never envisaged.

‘We have been overwhelmed by the large gathering despite the little publicity made for us to convene for the maiden meeting’ Mr Abbey said.

‘It is a strong indication of the commitment and goodwill of the people from the communities that TUFA has been accepted as an integral part of Kasalgu and its environs’

The supporters earlier visited the Chief of Kaslagu to receive his blessings for a successful competition.

Meanwhile, Tamale Utrecht will open the gates free on the first day of the season at the Kasalgu complex when they play home to Bazooka FC in the FA Cup competition on Tuesday.
