TUFA TARGETS MIDDLE LEAGUE BERTH - CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy, Mr Abdulai Alhassan has predicted a qualification to the middle league play-off of the 2012/13 division one league for Tamale Utrecht Football Academy.

He made this projection at the academy annual general meeting on Saturday prior to the start of the league competition.

The meeting brought together management members, technical team, playing body and supporters’ executive body to fraternise and share common values that are intended to foster unity and support for the other during the league competition.

The CEO mentioned that, the academy never compromised on the requisite technical and managerial support in their preparations and that the officialdom, will do more to ensure that our targets of a middle league participation and a 1/16th stage of the FA Cup are met.

Mr. Abdulai who will also double as a player for the league competition did not hide his excitement in the reunification of members especially from the supporters’ front with everybody expressing his opinion intended for success in the upcoming competition.

The Technical Director, Arc Jawhari Baba-Duah noted that the team had gone through the necessary requirment to develop the players psychological and physiological conditioning as well as tactical play to be able to go through a successful season.

‘Our pre-season was concluded with a successful trip to the Brong Ahafo region where the team finalised its preparations for the league and the FA Cup competitions’ Arc Jawhari Said.

He revealed that 22 players have been registered for this year’s competition after the technical team had found replacements for players who were released to other clubs whilst strengthening some positions in the team.

The Supporters Organiser, Mr. Mashud Wherabouts assured the players of their support but was hopeful that the players will also impress and give meaning to their support.

TUFA captain Issahaku A. Kadiri was thankful for the motivation and support that had come their way. ‘We are aware of the challenges ahead and will work hard to be part of the Kasalan history.’ Kadiri said

The division one league is expected to start on January 13, 2013.
