TAMALE UTRECHT COMPLETES TOUR WITH AN EMPHATIC WIN

3 January, 2013

The Kasalans made amends for two losses suffered in the Brong Ahafo Region tour when they recorded a 4-1 win in Wenchi against Unity FC to round off preparations for the 2012/13 division one league season scheduled for January 13.

The Tamale lads arrived in Wenchi highly determined and motivated by their excellent performance recorded in their last games against Universal Stars and Berekum Chelsea.

TUFA diminutive striker Adam A. Basit emerged as the top scorer in the tour with three goals following his brace in the game today on the 19th and 21st minute. Left back Mohammed Kasim converted from the spot after Adam A. Basit was brought down in the penalty area on the 35th minute to end the first half.

On resumption from the interval, Baba Mubarak rounded three defenders from the edge of the penalty area and unleashed a shot from his left foot to the far corner of the post to hit the back of the net.

The host grabbed a consolation late in the game after a defensive mix up in the TUFA penalty area.

The team has since returned home and will resume training on Monday ahead of the January 13 kick off of the division one league.
