IDDRISU NAFIU SCORES DEBUT GOAL IN TUFA WIN

Wa FC import Iddrisu Nafiu on trials with Tamale Utrecht Football Academy today hit the back of the net in a half volley outside the penalty area, to register his name in a 4-2 win against Tampe Kukuo Gangdu FC at the Tamasco field on Friday.

The visitors went ahead in the first half from a Simon Blaise right foot strike that beat goalkeeper Mubarik Jebdon in post after the TUFA defenders failed to track down the lanky attacker.

TUFA was brought into parity from a Vincent Deyi close range strike that hit the roof of the net.

In the second half, Baba Shehu who had a difficult game was pulled out for Adam Ibrahim whilst in other substitutions Alidu Yakubu and Vincent Deyi gave out their positions for Hamdan Yakubu and Hamza Basit respectively.

The introduction of Hamdan Yakubu stabilised the action in midfield for TUFA that took command over the game and forced their opponents into their half. Gangdu, out of the incessant pressure committed a penalty after Hamdan was brought down in the penalty area. Hamza Basit converted from the spot to give TUFA the lead.

Iddrisu Nafiu grabbed TUFA third whilst Issahaku A. Kadiri sent the game away from the reach of the opponents with a low drive into the far corner of the post.

The visitors came late scoring from the spot by Simon Blaise to bring the game to an end.
