TUFA AMBASSADOR NANA ASARE GETS BLACK STARS CALL UP

7 November, 2012

Ghana Coach Kwasi Appiah has named a 21-man team including TUFA ambassador, and FC Utrecht captain Nana Asare for an international friendly against Cape Verde in Lisbon, Portugal.

The 26 year old Utility player had enjoyed a good season so far leading his team to the Fourth place in the Dutch Eridivise.

The last time Nana Asare was invited to the Black stars set up was under Coach Goran Stevanovic in a 4-1 win over the Hawks of Togo in Belgium in February 2011. He was a second half substitute for Sulley Ali Muntari in that match.

The Left midfield enforcer who plays in Left Back position could end Kwasi Appiah’s problems in Left Back as the nation prepares for the African cup of nations in South Africa January, 2013.

The Africa Cup of Nations warm-up match will be played at the University of Lisbon Sports Stadium on November 13.
