BUSY WEEKEND FOR TUFA FIRST EVER FOOTBALL GALA

The Kasalgu Academy complex will host a festival of football on Sunday as Tamale Utrecht division one side engages three other division two clubs in a gala competition. This however will be preceded by the U-13 gala that takes place in the morning with four clubs to vie for honours.

The Kasalans will play Tamale FC in the second match after Liberty Babies had ended hostilities with Al-Itifaq. The winners of the two matches will go into a straight final to determine the champion of the inaugural gala competition.

The young Kasalans will be guest of Zaytuna colts club whilst Great Eagles colts club fight for a place in the finals with Kessben colts club. The winners will fight for supremacy in the final match.

The enthusiastic supporters of the academy at Kasalgu and soccer fans will enjoy a weekend of football fiesta at the academy as TUFA intends to give more playing opportunities for players in the region to develop their talents.

Meanwhile Former Nigerian super star Tijani Babanjida was at the Academy today to acquit himself with facilities and structures laid at the academy. He watched a training session of the TUFA U-13 and the division one side.

He expressed delight with the standards of facilities and was fascinated by the rare talents and good display of soccer by the two TUFA teams. He explored with the academy the possibilities of creating opportunities for the players in the academy inside and outside Africa to climb to the greater heights of football.
