TUFA APPOINTS SHILLA ALHASSAN AMID TECHNICAL CHANGES

Tamale Utrecht Football Academy has appointed former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Shilla Alhassan as an Assistant coach at the division one. The appointment of Shilla takes immediate effect as the team is set to resume the 2012/2013 season on Wednesday September 5, 2012.

The former Ghana international who also played for Real Tamale United, Guan United and lately BA Stars is expected to bring to bear his rich experience in football at the academy.

Meanwhile TUFA has made changes to the technical team ahead of the resumption of the football calendar.

Coach Rashid Osman will assume temporal responsibility of the Division One side as head coach and will be assisted by Shilla Alhassan and Muniru Aziz. Alhassan Habib remains the team manager for the senior side.

At the U-13 level, coach Rashid will continue his coaching programme with the young Kasalans and will be assisted by Coach Mohammed Abdallah. Abdul Wahab Danladi remains the academy goalkeeper’s trainer whilst Haruna Najiumdeen will return to the complex as the supervisor.

According to the Technical Director, Arc Jawhari Baba-Duah, the new appointments are expected to introduce the coaches to the academy style of play at all levels. ’The reshuffle will offer the coaches an opportunity to share ideas at various levels in the academy and enable them to understand the team complexities’. The technical director noted.
