GARGO PLAYS DOWN ON UNITY FC STRENGHT ON DECISIVE CLASH
20 August, 2012
RTU Coach Gargo Mohammed optimistic of victory on Wednesday
Real Tamale United coach Gargo Mohammed has refuted claims that they need to work extra hard in order to overcome strong contenders, Unity FC for the only premiership slot in the zone 1 on Wednesday.
The RTU coach was analyzing his team strength on Bishara radio on Monday Morning, asserting that his team is stronger than Unity FC that only managed a lone goal in their opening match against Bofoakwa that RTU spanked 3-1 on Sunday.
Asked however about Unity FC 4-1 demolishing over Bazooka FC that lost narrowly 2-1 to RTU in their opening match, the ex-Ghana international emphasized ‘Our team played better and won against Bazooka that proved stubborn, however there are reports that they compromised in their match against Unity FC, hence the big score line’.
‘The only games you could use therefore to analyze the strengths of the two teams come from the matches at Bekwai where we won 3-1 and Unity FC won just 1-0’ Gargo said.
The claim of the Head coach was collaborated by the team captain Hanan Giwa who was also thankful to traveling supporters from Tamale and promised to lead the team to victory on Wednesday to qualify for the premier league next season.
