RTU INCHES CLOSER TO PREMIERSHIP RETURN

Former premiership campaigner Real Tamale United won 3-1 against Tano Bofoakwa today at Bekwai in the division one league play-off to keep hopes alive for a return in the elite division.

United now occupies second position on the 4 club table and need to win their last match against leaders Unity FC to gain qualification to the premier league.

The pride of the north had to wait for a relief from Kwamena Emmanuel and Aziz Yussif second half goals to ignite jubilations in traveling supporters from Tamale after playing 1-1 in the first half.

RTU closest contenders Unity FC, mauled Bazooka FC 4-1 in the other match in the Zone 1 play-off at the Baba Yara stadium, and thus set for a decider with the Goaso base club at the Baba Yara stadium on Wednesday.
