TUFA OPENS IN A GRAND STYLE

Today will forever be remembered as a day in the history of a premier soccer academy in northern Ghana known as Tamale Utrecht Football Academy after it was opened today by the Sports Minister Hon. Clement Humadu.

The minster expressed joy over the strides made by Abdulai Alhassan, the Chief Executive Officer of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy to lure a powerful Dutch investment team to set up a noble dream for the entire benefit of northern Ghana and the nation for that matter.

Hon. Humadu expressed optimism about the success of the complex and tasked the young players to be dedicated and disciplined so as to achieve the collective objectives of the academy.

In his address, the Northern regional Minister, Hon. Moses Mabingba shared similar views by the Chairman of the Ghana League club association, Alhaji Raja that northern region is abound in soccer talents and cited past players of Real Tamale United like Mr Karim Starboy, Abubakari Damba and Mohammed Gargo who were also present in the opening.

He intimated that there are still great talents but the resource to develop these talents was an area of major concern to most colts club managers, he was therefore happy for the establishment of the facility being opened today to improve the standards of the game in the region and turned out great super stars for the nation.

Mr Abdulai Alhassan was grateful to Mr. Frans Van seurmeren for buying into an idea to set up the programme in northern Ghana and entreated colleagues who are also playing football in Europe to come back home with such investment opportunities for the development of their brothers in football.

Speaking to tufaghanafc.com after cutting the tape to officially launch the academy into full operation, the Nyankpala Lana was full of praise for the beautiful edifice being erected and told this reporter that he will team up with the academy to propel it to greater heights.

Mr, Frans Van seurmeren, the president of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy was not left out in the general excitement as he commended the team for an excellent job done. He was elated by the level of works executed on the project and for that matter could not hide his general feelings.

Other personalities who assisted the ministers in the commissioning included the Gukegu Lana, the Kasaglu chief and the Dutch Ambassador to Ghana.
