TUFA MAKES NEW APPOINTMENTS AS IT READIES FOR OPENING

Tamale Utrecht Football Academy has strengthened its technical staff ahead of Monday May 28 opening.

Top on the list is the appointment of Coach Mu-azz Choo to a high technical area of a chief scout to spot and identify talents for the academy in both the youth and senior levels.

Coach Muniru Aziz is still ranked as assistant coach for the academy but on a temporal caretaker role as head coach of the division one side whilst Coach Abdallah Mohammed has been shifted as team manager to the position of assistant coach in the academy.

A former player and captain of Real Tamale United Alhassan Habib will assume the role of team manager for the division one side and is expected to bring on board his rich experience in football to the academy.

TUFA has also snatched African Milo U-13 winning coach Osman Alhassan Rashid from Wienco Academy as head coach of the U-13 side and his assistant will be named soon according to technical director, Jawhari Baba-Duah.

As part of its youth development agenda in alternative careers TUFA has also appointed its division one deputy general captain Haruna Najimudeen as supervisor.

The appointments which were confirmed to tufaghanafc.com by Jahwri Baba-Duah indicated that the academy is still in discussion to appoint a substantive coach to the division one side.
