TUFA ENDS MEDICAL AND EDUCATIONAL EXAMINATIONS

Tamale Utrecht Football Academy on Sunday ended a two week medical and educational examinations for 21 players selected to begin the academy in May, 2012.
According to the academy’s Technical Director, Arc. Jawhari Baba-Duah, the medical examinations were successful but with some medical cases on some of the players. He however hinted that the academy is taking steps to address such problems.
‘The players were thoroughly examined for any infections or health complications by the club’s physiotherapist’ Mr Jawhari hinted.
‘Some findings were made on two players after the medical exercise and their health ought to be guaranteed before they are engaged in active football.’ ‘The exercise also revealed the growth and developmental stages of the players to establish the age classification of the academy.’ The technical director added.
Meanwhile, the players also took part in the weekend educational exams to ascertain their competence in oral and written English, Mathematics and Science. They demonstrated good communication skills and also proved to be good mathematicians and scientists aside their football playing career in future.
Mr Jawhari noted that the next phase of the exercise will take the academy to the respective clubs and families of the successful players ahead of the formal arrangement for the transfers of their education to the academy.
