RTU FINISH TOP IN FIRST HALF OF THE DIVISON ONE LEAGUE
07 March, 2012
The quest of Real Tamale United to make an immediate return to the Ghanaian premier league may have been achieved, half way into the 2011/2012 polytank division league after the blues beat Guan United 1-0 today to move top of the zone 1A standings.
The pride of the north converted from the spot 10 minutes into the game to claim all three against Guan United who made several attempts but failed to equalise the only goal of the match.
Upper East United dropped points at their favourite home ground when they were held to a goalless game in Bolgatanga whilst Yeji Juventus beat travelling Nandom Black Bulls 1-0 in Yeji to complete the scores for the first round of the league.
The second half of the league is scheduled to kick off on Saturday April 14, 2012.
