RTU records highest victory!

Real Tamale United hopes of surviving the top elite division was further boosted on Monday as they recorded an astonishing 4-0 victory over 10-men Ebusua Dwarfs at the Tamale sports stadium. Prolific striker Benjamin Boateng got the opener after slotting in from close range on the seventh minute mark. The home side enjoyed massive possession afterwards but failed to utilize some number of chances that came their way until the 20th minute when left full back Owusu Benpah made it 2-0, his debut goal for RTU. The Tamale based side continued to dominate the game until striker Sumaila Nyaya got the third goal with a long range strike on the stroke of half time. Nyaya last scored for RTU four months ago against hearts of oak at the Ohene Gyan stadium. Dwarfs came back from the break mounting pressure on RTU which eventually resulted in a penalty on the hour mark but skipper Bismark failed to convert the sport kick.
Kweku Mensah of Dwarfs took an early shower after picking up a second yellow card for a dangerous tackle on Benjamin Boateng. The homesters continued their impressive form which led to Benjamin Boateng geting his second on the day.
