BLACK STARLETS 2-0 TUFC
22 January, 2012
The National under 17 side the black starlets today beat Tamale Utrecht FC 2-0 in a friendly at the Ghanaman Soccer centre of excellence at Prampram.
The young and talented players went ahead in the first half through a spot kick and added the second in the second half.
TUFC made several attempts at goal but failed to find the back of the net. Striker Jafaru A. Somed missed an opportunity to cancel the starlets earlier lead on resumption from the break when his kick was carried away by the starlets goalkeeper.
The Handlers of the U-17 were delighted with the opposition noting that that the match served as a good exercise for them to access the players in camp ahead of the upcoming national assignments.
Coach Mu-azz was also quite happy about the exercise since he was provided with some solutions to the team’s tactical play.
