RTU DECLINE OWNERSHIP OF AWAL MOHAMMED IN STARLETS CAMP
16 January, 2012
Alhassan Yakin
Tufaghanafc.com can exclusively reveal that defender Awal Mohammed who was invited by the Technical handlers of the national under-17 team, the black starlets is not a player of Real Tamale United (RTU).
It would be recalled that the defender who was part of 31 players invited by the U-17 team for camping in prampram was attached to RTU in the publication but a club official Mr. Alhassan Yakin disclosed that RTU never entered into any contractual agreement with the player and could therefore not accept the publication that mentioned Awal Mohammed as player of the pride of the North.
He however admitted that, the player was recommended for recruitment by the Head coach Mohammed Gargo but talks over his release to RTU with his manager was not successful.
The rejection of the player by RTU from its fold has thrown away any hope of representation of players from any of the clubs in the Northern region from a list of 31 players invited to the national under-17 team
