STARBOY DONATES TO ELECTRONIC REGISTRAION WORKSHOP
15 January, 2012
Mr. Karim Mahama Star
Last year defeated aspirant of the Northern regional football association, Mr. Karim Mahama Star boy made a surprise entry to the GFA electronic workshop that ended at the Tamale sports stadium on Saturday and donated One Hundred Ghana cedis to participants for their snacks.
Mr. Karim Star who is also the chief executive officer of Tamale Allstars was at the two day workshop to monitor response of the various clubs to the GFA team on the newly introduced electronic registration but was amazed to find out that, snacks and lunch for the course coordinators and the participants were not provided. He therefore donated a hundred Ghana cedis for snacks to be provided for the GFA team and the participants at the workshop.
Asked whether the former RTU player was not doing this to rekindle an ambition for the regional FA chairmanship in the next elections, Mr Karim Mahama Star told tufaghanafc.com; ‘I did it out of sympathy for the GFA team and the club representatives attending the workshop from Accra and other places in the north. It is bizarre to sit throughout in such a workshop without food.’ and continued ‘I am not rich but ready to share the little that I have with my colleagues’.
Meanwhile the 2-day electronic seminar on player’s registration was being introduced to all 45 division two clubs in the region to replace the old registration cards of players in all competitions.
The course coordinator, Mr Franics Eddu Essah revealed to tufaghanafc.com that the new registration system will be used in this year’s league and clubs are therefore expected to comply or risk losing the chance to play in the 2012 division two league.
