12 January, 2012
Baba Nuhu Mallam - Guan United Administrative Secretary
Northern Region Division Two side Dynamos FC have withdrawn their protest lodged against Guan United at the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association in a case for the non-payment of player transfer fee due the former.
The protest was filed after the two sides had met in the MTN FA Cup match played at the Tamale sports stadium annex where the regional division two finalist lost 2-1 to Guan United. Dynamos protested to the disciplinary committee to be declared winners of the said match.
Guan United can now be included in the FA Cup round of 64 and will play Sekondi Eleven Wise at the Gandu Park on Friday, January 20, 2012.
Speaking to the tufaghanafc.com, the administrative secretary of Guan United Mr, Baba Nuhu Mallam noted that the team has accepted the withdrawal of the case at the disciplinary committee and will proceed to honour the FA Cup match next week.
