JUVENILE CLUBS RECIEVE PUMA BRANDED GFA BALLS
8 January, 2012
The chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association Alhaji Adam Munkaila today presented 77 Puma branded footballs to Tamale Metro Juvenile Association for clubs within the Tamale District at the Kaladan Park.
49 other footballs are expected to be presented at separate ceremonies to four districts that are registered with the regional body.
In a brief speech delivered by the RFA chairman, the footballs were donated by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to all regional associations in support of the Juvenile clubs for the development of grass root football.
He therefore entreated the beneficiaries to make optimum use of the equipment and was hopeful that the GFA will do more to support the development of football at the colts level.
Mr Abdulai Ganiu, the Metro Juvenile chairman on behalf of the association thanked the RFA and the GFA for the gesture. He noted that clubs were struggling to acquire basic equipments such as footballs for their training and that the donation will serve as a motivation for most of the players in the clubs and that will undoubtedly raise the standards of the game. He later presented 2 footballs each to the clubs.
Some members of the executive committee of the RFA such as Mr. Baako Alhassan, Mr. Jawhari Baba-Duah, Mr. Alhassan Dawou and Coach Mua-zz Choo were at the presentation
