Wakaso to star for professionals
Professional players in Ghana and Europe big clubs are hoping to revenge a 3-0 defeat posted them by Tamale Utrecht FC last year in a New Year friendly match to be played at the Zogbeli Park on Sunday.
The match which is under the invitation of the professionals has become an annual New Year day game to build solid relationships between TUFC and their senior colleagues.
The professionals are currently taking a break from their respective competitions for the Christmas festivities and will report back to their various clubs after the New Year.
Players expected to star for the professional nclude former RTU defender Shilla Illiasu now with Impuls FC in Armenia. Others include Majeed Waris of Hacken FC in Sweden, Yakin Iddi of Beliguim side and Mubarak Wakaso of Villareal in Spain.
TUFC will resume training from their week long break on Sunday with the friendly match and are also hoping to make it double against the professionals.
