MTN FA CUP ROUND OF 64 DRAW ON DECEMBER 22

The draw for the MTN FA Cup round of 64 would be held on Thursday, December 22 at Metropolitan Television, the FA sources revealed.
All the 16 premier league clubs will join other clubs that have qualified from the preliminary round of the competition that recorded a surprised exit of defending champions Nania FC from the competition.
The matches for the round of 64 are scheduled for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6thand 7thof January 2012.
Four clubs from the Northern region Real Tamale United, Guan United, Tamale Utrecht and Sawla United shall be hoping to avoid Giants like Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea at his stage of the competition.
All 4 clubs are also hoping to play on their home grounds at the draw after playing away in their respective matches at the preliminary round.
In the preliminary round RTU beat Yeji Juventus 1-0, Guan United and Tamale Utrecht recorded 2-1 wins over Dynamos FC and Jakpa Warriors respectively whilst Sawla United beat Pwalgu United 1-0 at Bolga.
