RADIO BROADCASTER ELECTED RFA VICE CHAIRMAN
26th November, 2011
The executive committee of the Northern Regional Football Association (RFA) today elected Mr. Mohammed Baako Alhassan a radio broadcaster as its vice chairman at the FA secretariat.
Samatan Killer as he is popularly known polled 7 votes of the 11 votes cast whilst Mr. Abubakari Abdul Ganiu, the Juvenile committee vice chairman polled 4 votes and thus failed to succeed Mr. Karim Star boy as the next RFA Vice Chairman.
Prior to the elections the new executive committee members elect were sworn into office by the RFA chairman Alhaji Adam Munkaila and would therefore take charge of decision making as far as football is concerned in the region.
The executive committee of the Regional Football Association is expected to name three members to represent the region in the Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA) very soon and also put in place other committees such as the division two committee, referees appointment committee, technical and development committee and an emergency committee to direct the development of football in the region.
