TAMALE UTRECHT GETS DAKPA WARRIORS IN FA CUP DRAW

Northern Regional division two champions Tamale Utrecht F.C. have been drawn to play away to Salaga Japka Warriors in the preliminary round of the MTN FA cup competition.
Jakpa Warriors were quarter finalist in the just ended northern regional division two competition and qualified to play in the competition with three other division two sides namely, Dynamos FC, Liberty Babies and Sawla United.
TUFC are participating in the competition with Guan United and Real Tamale United as the only division one sides from the region.
Ninety-six clubs drawn from the division one and division two sides of the Ghanaian football league have been paired ahead of the preliminary round kick off beginning the weekend of December 13.
Clubs from the Premiership division have drawn a bye and will enter the competition at the Round of 64 stage.
The knockout competition would see 112 sides involved in a total of 111 games in this season's tournament since FC Nania won the Cup, beating Asante Kotoko in the last final.
The FA Cup by its tradition always involves clubs from all tiers of the Ghana league system playing against each other for the ultimate trophy.
The draw for the Round of 64 would be made after the completion of the Preliminary Round ties.
