Guan United benefited from the non-renewal of contracts of Torfiq Alolo and Alhassan Abdul Salam (Tua) with RTU, and got an undisclosed deal reached with the duo for their sixth division one campaign.
According to the club administrative secretary Mr. Baba Nuhu Mallam, the club was happy to have reached a deal with the two former RTU Players and was optimistic to defend the top spot in zone 1A of the zonal league. A total of 32 players are being registered by Guan United for the 2011/2012 division one league.
Meanwhile Real Tamale United who are seeking to bounce back in the Ghanaian premier league are expected to conclude registration of 26 new players tomorrow for the division one league.

The club’s accounts officer Alhassan Yakin revealed that, RTU have concluded contractual agreements with Ibrahim Fuseini (Ebo) formerly of Accra Great Olympics and Gafaru Abdulai from Golden Stars FC.
‘The club has also renewed the contracts of former black stars defender Hanan Giwa and experienced goalkeeper Mohammed Opash to reinforce the team ahead of the division one league’ Yakin said.
‘The board of RTU is however yet release funds for the payment of salary arrears and signing-on fees of new players’ he revealed to tufaghanafc.com.
Meanwhile Striker Michael Japaah move to RTU from Guan United may still be prolonged as the two clubs are yet to conclude negotiations for his release.
According to Guan administrative secretary, RTU is yet to make an offer for the club over the player’s release and doubts if any possible deal could be reached.
