TUFC YET TO INAUGURATE SUPPORTERS GROUPS-TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

17th November, 2011

TUFC Technical Director Jawhari Baba-Duah has revealed that Tamale Utrecht FC is yet to inaugurate its supporters groups in the region and beyond. He said this today on a local radio station, Justice FM.

Arc.  Jawhari explained that the cub has in its administrative structure a social director responsible for all social activities including the organisation of supporters. He added that the responsibilities of a supporters chairman are carried out by the deputy director of the social projects.

‘we do not have what is known as supporters chairman in our set up, but that task is handled by Mr Hafiz Abbey, the deputy director of our social projects’. ’He is expected to meet with all groups of people who have so far shown interest in the team as supporters in order to put in place a solid front of supporters’. The Technical Director noted.

Speaking on the club preparation for the division one league, Arc Jawhari was hopeful that the blend of the youthful TUFC team and the signing of 8 new experienced players would give the club the expected results in the division one league and the MTN FA cup.

He however bemoaned on the limited time the club had to prepare for the league pointing that to the organisational lapses by the Northern Regional Football Association to organise early division two leagues. ‘I hope however for a change in the organisation of football in the region following my election to the executive committee of the football association.’ Jawhari concluded.
