NO ROOM FOR INDISCIPLINE PLAYERS-RTU BOARD CHAIRMAN

The acting Board Chairman of Real Tamale United (RTU) Alhaji Adam Ibrahim has supported management decision to release 8 players from the club on disciplinary grounds and that efforts to instil discipline in the club are supported by the Board.

The Board Chairman made this revelation today when he met players and supporters of the club at the Tamale sports stadium. Alhaji Ibrahim who was accompanied to the meeting by Alhaji Adam Munkaila and the Supporters Chairman, Mr Adam Nantogma tasked supporters to come together under one umbrella since that is the only panacea to return the pride of the north to the premier league.

Speaking on the internal wrangling in the Board, Alhaji noted that efforts are being made to address those concerns. ‘ The club Board of Directors would be meeting to find solutions to the recent developments  that are breaking the club apart ’ Alhaji said. ‘ Without unity there is no way the club will ride back to the premiership’ he continued.

There was however thunderous applause from the players when they heard the board chairman mentioned that their four month salary arrears would soon be paid and that funds would also be released for the recruitment of new players to strengthen the team.

It will be recalled that 8 players including Team Captain Torfiq Alolo and former black stars defender Hanan Giwa were released by the club on disciplinary grounds.

The club has concluded a player justify exercise last week and would soon complete registration of 26 players for the 2011/2012 division one league.
