3rd October, 2011
Torfiq Alolo - asked to look for a club
8 players of Real Tamale United (RTU) have been listed by management as surplus to the club’s requirement. Accordingly the players that include captain Torfiq Alolo and former Black stars defender Hanan Giwa have received notifications of the club’s decision.
The other players affected by the club decision include Fataw Seidu Junior, Abdul Rahim Seidu and Abdul Salam Tua. The rest are Hamdu Alhassan, Akwasi Soale and goalkeeper Mohammed Opash.
The Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abu Nurudeen revealed to tufaghanafc.com that contracts of the said players with the club have ended and the club has no plans for them in the up-coming division one league scheduled to kick off in December hence the decision to lay them off.
The Ghana Football Association has opened registration of players for the division one and will close registration on November 14; however the pride of the North is yet to register a player for the division one league.
