THE BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY:WHO WINS 2011 DIVISION TWO LEAGUE?

The battle for supremacy in the Northern regional division two league shall be decided today at the Kaladan Park between Tamale Utrecht FC (TUFC) and Dynamos FC.
The 4 and half month regional league that begun on June 19, 2011 with a total of 45 clubs across the region would be climaxed with the two glamorous Tamale based clubs engaging each other in the grand finale of the division two competition.
TUFC were 5-4 winners on penalty shoot-out over Liberty Babies at the semi final stage and faces stiff opposition from Dynamos that won 1-0 against Sawla United at the Kaladan Park. The champion will automatically qualify to play in the National division one league.
The two sides are meeting for the first time in the competition but have met in two pre-season friendly where after a goalless drawn game in the first game, TUFC beat Dynamos 1-0 in the second friendly played at the Kaladan Park that host today’s final.
TUFC will start in today’s game as favourites but need to guard against complacency against a side that eliminated highly fancied and tournament favourites Sawla United in the semis.
