Nathaniel Asamoah opened the scoring after 37 minutes for Bechem to draw level through former Black Stars striker Peter Ofori Quaye on 44 minutes when he finished off a nice pass from Eric Fordjour.
Bechem took the lead after the hour mark through Akwasi Adu. Kotoko fought back and equalized through Ahmed Toure on 71 minutes from a resultant corner-kick.
